Livewell Check Championship New Wrap in the Water New Boat Wrap Chris Jones: His Story

Another Dirty Fish!

Well we are at the time of year when the fish are all weird and funky. Post spawn, super warm winter, and a hot spring all make for some slow days on the lake. Got on the water before daylight, get to my sure thing early morning topwater spot and we are jacked (you know you are just going to catch ‘em and your holding your rod super tight like it’s a shotgun). Obviously the fish were not jacked. Not one bite in the first 45 minutes. We managed to catch a couple of fish, just keepers. That is when I knew it was going to be another slowwwwww day. Moved around and threw everything in my boat at them except my batteries. And then I picked it up, yep, my Steez rod with 14 lb. Sunline Sniper flourocarbon lined on my Steez reel with a Dirty Jig swim jig/Zoom ultravibe chunk tied at the end. Sounds familiar cause it is the exact same combo I caught my 12.39 on. I politely put the stubborn fish on notice and began to do work! 5 best was around 15 lbs and then I stuck the kicker we needed. 8.89 lbs. All we could say was can you believe this?

Ugly Signs Does It Again!

When I said that Ugly Signs did it again, what I meant to say was Ugly Signs knocked another super awesome wrap out of the park! These guys never stop out doing theirselves with the design and install of these wraps. I feel like it is the attention to detail that sets them apart from other companies.

We picked up Jerry’s boat and it definitely has the wow factor. Jerry can be very picky (and grumpy at times) and he was very happy with the wrap. I cannot say enough about the work Ugly Signs does. So without a doubt Ugly Signs is your only choice for your print and wrap needs.

The Fish Of My Life Time!

The Fish Of My Life Time!

On March 7, 2012 I caught the fish of my life time. I know that some are going to find it this hard to believe, cause I still do. And she didn’t come out of a farm pond. This fantastic fish weighed 12.39 on the certified scales at my local Ingles. Two reasons I had the fish weighed on certified scales, 1) I thought that this monster weighed more. 2) I know that sometimes when we see a pic or hear a story that we all have our doubts, not that fisherman lie or exagerate.

I caught her on a Dirty Jigs swim jig ( www.dirtyjigstackle.com ) with a Zoom green pumkin blue ultra-vibe chunk. My Daiwa Steez rod and Daiwa Steez reel lined with 16 lb. Sunline FC Sniper flourocarbon handled the big girl with ease. With Power Poles anchoring my Ranger oh so quietly, she never knew I was there.

After I had the fish weighed, I returned her to the same waters I caught her in. I just didn’t feel that having the fish mounted was the right thing to do. So I pulled her out of my livewell and let her swim off. It was really cool to see her swim away to give somebody else the catch of their life time

Power Pole….Get Some!

Power Pole....Get Some!

Power Poles! If you do not have a pair or even one, you are missing out. Everybody that I know or meet that has them all agree that it would be very hard to be on the water without them. I feel like the poles are a major tool in my fishing arsenal. I use them throughout my entire day on the lake. From completely anchoring the boat to skimming the bottom to slow down my drift. The poles reach down to 8ft.! The first thing skeptics say is that they only go down 8ft. Well when you think about it, if we say we caught them in 7ft.-8ft. of water that to most of us is the average depth we fish. I have the foot switches on my front deck. This makes it a totally hands free control for me. I do not have to stop reeling or whatever I’m doing to raise or lower them. The remote control is pretty cool too. This really comes in handy at appearances when an interested person asks what do they do. All I have to do is put my hand in my pocket and hit the button and watch their face light up in amazement.

Another thing about this company is the Power Pole customer service. To me it seems like they do whatever they have to do to make the customer happy (with in reason). Everybody I have met that has any dealings with them have had the same opinion as I do.

So go to www.power-pole.com and check them out. Once you get them, you would be lost without them!
